ISLAMABAD, March 09 (Online): Opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Shahbaz Sharif has met with JI Amir Siraj ul Haq requesting him to support opposition in vote of no confidence against the Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.

Mian Shahbaz Sharif reached the resident of JI leader Mian Aslam here Wednesday and JI Amir Siraj ul Haq received him. Maryam Aurangzeb and Saad Rafiq were also with Mian Shahbaz Sharif. Mian Shahbaz Sharif sought JI support in the no confidence motion during his meeting with Siraj Ul Haq.

Talking to media men after his meeting with Siraj Ul Haq, opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif said I have requested Siraj ul Haq on behalf of combined opposition that JI should support us in no confidence motion against PM. This is matter of 220 million people of Pakistan. The life of common man has been made miserable. On these ground the vote of no confidence motion was filed. We will talk to PTI people too.

We want to serve the nation with fresh mandate. Some mandate of PTI was real and some was fake. Where the claims of Imran Khan have gone to today which he had made. We have gathered here so that government goes home with the votes of people. We will remove the government through constitutional way and then will go to people. Tax has been levied on every drop of water and every morsel of the bread, he remarked.

JI Amir Siraj ul Haq said Shahbaz Sharif has placed before us options with reference to no confidence motion. The government has failed miserably.

He went on to say no confidence motion is a democratic process. We will decide about Shahbaz Sharif proposals after consultations.

He underlined change of system rather than change of persons is solution to the problems. We have given proposal to Shahbaz Sharif we should resort to the people so that if the system is not working then new government with new mandate could address the problems. Shahbaz Sharif has agreed to it some extent.

Siraj ul Haq remarked all the political parties should together introduce election reforms. Holding election without is not solution to the problem. I hope all the parties will consider it. There should be system of proportionate representation in the country.

He reiterated if Islamic order is implemented in the country then it will make progress. The national cohesion has been dented due to non enforcement of Islamic order.
