Islamabad – December 26 (ONLINE): Special assistant to Prime Minister on political communication Dr. Shahbaz Gill on Sunday said previous (PML-N) government was responsible for current gas shortage as it announced many gas provision schemes for its candidates just before 2018 general elections.
Shahbaz shared a screen short of a news report on twitter which revealed that the then federal cabinet had approved 235 new gas supply schemes in the constituencies of parliamentarians, and described it as ‘attempt to rig elections and cause of current gas turmoil’.
“Gas turmoil in Pakistan started back in 2009, with increasing intensity every year. In such situation what could be more ‘criminal’ than distributing hundreds of gas supply schemes amongst electoral candidates during last year of your tenure to win coming general elections?” Gill tweeted.
“Today, these people cry of gas shortage” he concluded.
