ISLAMABAD, Feb 28 (Online): PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has filed appeal in Islamabad High Court (IHC) for bail against the sentence awarded in cipher case.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi has filed miscellaneous petition seeking suspension of conviction.
it has been said in the petition conspiracy or treason has not been proved in the sentence awarded under section 9 of official secretariat act.
As former foreign minister it was responsibility of principal secretary to protect cipher and was not his responsibility.
It was said in the petition that supreme court has already granted bail after arrest in this matter. IHC has also declared the trial null and void due to legal flaws.
