ISLAMABAD July 28 (Online): Former Federal Minister Asad Umar said in response to the statement of former FBR Chairman Shabbar Zaidi, “Shabbar Bhai is well, where you invented this story?”
In his tweet, Asad Umar said that the Tehreek-e-Insaf government was formed in August 2018, at the end of the PTI government, the foreign exchange reserves of the State Bank were 9.8 billion dollars.
Futher he explained that the month of my resignation from the Ministry of Finance was April 2019. At the time of withdrawing from the Ministry of Finance, the foreign exchange reserves were 8.7 billion dollars, where did this story of default come from?
During the current government’s tenure, the foreign exchange reserves were less than 3 billion dollars, yet if there was no default in the payment of loans, how could there be a default of 8.7 billion dollars?
Zaidi has opened a new Pandora’s box, in an interview, he said that he used to be asked for the tax files of PML-N members, Shahzad Akbar used to sit on a sofa, Chairman PTI used to call him and say that Shahzad is saying, tell me what to do. Shabbar Zaidi said that he told Chairman PTI about the poor economy of the country, gave suggestions but he was in no mood to listen anything.
