Senior journalist Mohsin Baig granted bail in case registered against him at Karachi

KARACHI, March 03 (Online): Sindh High Court (SHC) has granted bail to the senior journalist Mohsin Baig in a case registered against him at Karachi.

The court while hearing the petition of the senior journalist seeking quashment of case against him directed him to file surety bond of Rs 100000.

FIA filed written reply in the court. The arrest of Mohsin Baig has now been shown in money laundering case .

Assistant Attorney General (AAG) told the court Mohsin Baig has been arrested in the case registered against him in Karachi. Interim challan against him has been filed in the sessions court.

The court directed Attorney General (AG) to appear before it in person on next hearing.

SHC remarked we are not abolishing case against him. If ill intent is proved then action will be taken.

Justice Muhammad Iqbal Kalhoro remarked the court has reservations as well over registration of case against journalist. Those who have registered case can go to jail too;
