Sedition case: Shahbaz Gill could not be indicted

ISLAMABAD, March 22 (Online): PTI leader Shahbaz Gill could not be indicted in sedition case.

The case came up for hearing in the court of district and sessions judge Islamabad Wednesday led by additional sessions judge Tahir Sipra.

The court accepted Shabaz Gill plea for exemption from attendance for one day and adjourned the hearing of the case till April 01.

The co-accused of Shahbaz Gill appeared in the court along with his counsel.

The counsel for co-accused told the court Shahbaz Gill is not coming to court today as per his information.

But his counsel will make confirmatioin about it.

Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra remarked smilingly you people know all about it.

You people have contacts with each other. You have carved out turns that you will go this time and on next turn I will go.

Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra inquired that what twitter is.

The co-accused said now days the entire Pakistan is running on twitter.

Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra remarked if we shut the twitter, instagram and face book then too much peace will come.

The counsel for Shahbaz Gill appeared in the court. He requested the court Shahbaz Gill is coming. An interval be made in the hearing.

When the hearing resumed counsel for Shagbaz Gill filed application before the court requesting that Shahbaz Gill will not appear today due to filing of nominaiton papers by him in polls at Faisalabad. Therefore, exemption be granted.

The court while accepting exemption plea fixed April 01 for indictment.

The court directed Shahbaz Gill to ensure his attendance on next hearing.
