Security Forces kill 4 khwarij terrorists in KPK: ISPR

RAWALPINDI, Jun 04 (APP): Security forces killed four terrorists belonging to the Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Khwarij during two separate intelligence-based operations conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

A news release issued by the ISPR said that an intelligence-based operation was carried out in Dera Ismail Khan District after reports of the presence of khwarij terrorists in the area. During the operation, security forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ hideout.

Following an intense exchange of fire, two terrorists belonging to the Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Khwarij were killed. The operation was conducted successfully without allowing the militants any opportunity to escape.

In a separate intelligence-based operation conducted in Mohmand District, security forces engaged another group of terrorists. During the ensuing operation, two more khwarij were effectively neutralized.

According to the ISPR, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorists, who had remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.

The military’s media wing said sanitization operations were continuing to eliminate any other terrorists present in the vicinity and to ensure complete clearance of the area.

The ISPR reiterated that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue their relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.

The statement emphasized that efforts would continue at full pace to eradicate the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country and ensure lasting peace and stability.
