Sc dismisses bail plea of an accused allegedly involved in espionage against country

ISLAMABAD, April 19 (Online): Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed the bail plea of one Muhammad Din, allegedly involved in espionage against the country. The court dismissed the petition as withdrawn. Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar remarked it is charged money has come into the account of accused from other country.

Case under espionage charges was registered against the accused last year in CTD police station.
The case related to bail of the accused Muhammad Din, arrested under charges of espionage came up for hearing before 3-member bench of court presided over by Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar Friday. Justice Ayesha Malik raised the question about Afghan nationality of the accused. The counsel said the matter that he is Afghan national is not proved. I am Pakistani and I have attached my passport and Identity card .

Justice Ayesha Malik remarked the national identity card of the accused has been blocked Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar remarked the allegation has been leveled against the accused by his relative. The counsel for the accused said trial court has accepted bail pleas of the other two accused who are included in the case. The court remarked then you should file bail plea in the trial court on new grounds.

The accused withdrew the petition after court’s observations. The court dismissed the petition as withdrawn.
