ISLAMABAD, JAN 07 (ONLINE): Supreme Court (SC) constitutional bench has sought report from Punjab government about those convicted and sentenced by military courts and are kept in jail in cases pertaining to May 9 incident.
Hafiz Ullah Nizi came on rostrum at the conclusion of hearing and thanked the court.
The SC constitutional bench under Justice Amin ud Din heard the case.
On reaching the rostrum by Hafiz Ullah Niazi, Justice Amin ud Din said you will make political talk.
Hafiz Ullah Niazi said he will not make any political talk at all. I am grateful that you issued directives to military court. You showed kindness and after it military courts announced decisions. The criminals have been shifted to jails after decisions. The rights being availed by the prisoners in general jails are not being given to the culprits. Attitude with prisoners in jails is like military custody. Military courts have not told the reasons about announcing the sentences.
The court sought report from Punjab government.
