ISLAMABAD, NOV 15 (Online): Former Chief Judge (CJ) of Gilgit-Baltistan (G.B) Supreme Court (SC) Rana Shamim has said former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar has no powers to grant me extension under law.
“He is who to give me extension. Former Chief Judge GB SC said this while talking to a private TV channel here Monday. Rana Shamim stated he stands by all things what have been said in news item. I did not feel any need for seeking extension.
He told the private TV channel GB and Azad Kashmir supreme courts are not under the control of Supreme Court of Pakistan. Granting extension to chief justices of AJK and GB chief justices falls in the powers of Prime Minister .
I had not incurred expenses on arrival of Saqib Nisar in GB out of national kitty, he said adding Saqib Nisar was my guest in Gilgit. I gave affidavit to whom and when I can not disclose it as yet, he underlined.
