ISLAMABAD, SEP 09 (Online): Law ministry and other respondents have filed review plea against Supreme Court (SC) decision of declaring review of judgments and orders act null and void.
The SC has been requested to review its August 11 decision and give 15 days time in connection with additional documents.
Registrar office gave 15 days in regard to additional documents.
SC had nullified review of judgments and orders act on August 11.
SC had declared review act beyond the legislative competence of parliament
The right to appeal was given to affected respondent in review act against the decision in cases of article 184(3).
Supreme Court review act has no legal standing, therefore, it was annulled.
Three members of SC bench comprising Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan and Justice Muneeb Akhtar had announced decision.
