Result of general election 2024 challenged in SC

ISLAMABAD, Feb 23 (Online): The result of general election 2024 has been challenged in Supreme Court (SC).
Election Commission committee constituted in connection with allegations leveled by former commissioner Rawalpindi Liaqat Ali Chatha has also been challenged.

Appointment of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and member EC has also been challenged in apex court.
PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat has filed constitutional petition in SC praying that the appointment of CEC and member EC be declared null and void. All the forms 47 of national and provincial assemblies be annulled. High level committee constituted by EC be also nullified.

Interior ministry be ordered to constitute judicial commission to probe into rigging charges in election.
Judicial commission should consolidate the results from all the country including Rawalpindi. The formation of federal and provincial governments be stopped. The federal and provincial governments be restrained from issuing orders.
It has been told from the Registrar office that no application from Sher Afzal Marwat has been received.
