Relief announced by govt be entered into bills of power consumers within 24 hours: PM Shehbaz

ISLAMABAD, AUG 26 (Online): Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif has constituted a high level committee to redress the complaints of power consumers.

A high level meeting was held under the PM Shahbaz Sharif to resolve the problems facing power consumers.

During the meeting it was told that the implementation of relief package announced by the PM for the power consumers is being ensured.

The PM was told during the briefing electricity bills are being corrected in line with the relief given to 16600000 electricity consumers under the head of Fuel Price Adjustment.

PM Shahbaz Sharif said the relief announced by the government be entered into the electricity bills of the consumers within 24 hours.

PM directed all the DISCOs to work round the clock for correction of bills. The leave of all the staffers be canceled and compliance report be presented to him.

The prime minister said that the banks should also be directed to remain open in the coming days to enable the consumers pay their revised electricity bills.
