Registrar SC returns application against permanent appointment of Supreme Appellate Court Judges for three year’s term with objections.

Islamabad-January 17 (Online): Registrar Supreme Court has returned the application lodged against appointment of Supreme Appellate Court Gilgit-Baltistan Judges for three years on permanent basis after imposing objections.

It was declared that the applicant Hussain Shahid did not approach the appropriate forum. Law did not allow to directly approach Supreme Court in this matter. Contents of application are not satisfactory for exercising suo motu powers .

Moreover, application did not highlight issue of public interest in the matter as well.

Applicant Hussain Shahid had submitted an application in SC against appointment of Supreme Appellate Court Gilgit-Baltistan Judges for three year’s term on permanent basis besides fixing the retirement age of these judges for 65 years. .
