PESHAWAR, March 02 (Online): Peshawar High Court (PHC) has remarked PTI MNAs want to return to assembly and this seems to them a child play.

The court gave these remarks during hearing of petitions filed by PTI MNAs against the acceptance of their resignations.

A 2-member bench of PHC presided over by Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan took up the case for hearing Thursday.

Counsel for PTI MNAs said we have challenged notification of election commission and speaker.

Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan inquired members want to return to assembly then why they have resigned.

The counsel for PTI MNAs replied members have tendered resignation against pulling down the government.

Justice Ijaz Anwar remarked this seems to them kid’s game. Earlier they used to say the resignation be accepted. They went to the speaker in a procession. Now they say we want to return to assembly.

The counsel requested that by poll is going to be held on March 16. The court should stop the by election. The March 16 election be postponed.

Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan remarked you don’t want to go to assembly early. Tell us who is responsible for what is going on in the country.

Justice Ijaz Anwar told he has been appointed judge of election tribunal. Someone else will hear this case tomorrow.
