ISLAMABAD, Feb 27 (Online): Three PTI Members of National Assembly (MNA) including Asadd Umar.Ali Nawaz and Khurram Shahzad have challenged the acceptance of their resignation by speaker National Assembly (NA) in Islamabad High Court (IHC).
The petitioners through their petition have requested the court to suspend notification of speaker NA and Election Commission (EC).
Federal government, speaker NA, Secretary NA and EC has been respondents in the petition.
These three MNAs have filed petition through barrister Ali Zafar and barrister Gauhar Ali.
The petitioners have taken plea in the petition that EC in its January 17, 2023 notification accepted the resignation of some MNAs of PTI. Our 123 members had tendered resignations and all were to be deseated.
They requested the court to suspend the notification issued by speaker NA and EC.
