ISLAMABAD, AUG 30 (ONLINE): Care taker government has presented proposals to IMF for relief in electricity bills.
As per media reports care taker Finance Minister (FM) Shamshad Akhtar contacted IMF representative Easter Prez
According to Finance ministry sources discussion was made with IMF representative on the matter of relief in electricity bills.
IMF was apprised of the situation following hike in electricity bills.
IMF obtained briefing on government stance on the matter of relief. Proposals were presented to IMF for providing relief in electricity bills.
The sources said IMF has sought written plan from the government in connection with relief in electricity bills.
The written plan is likely to be sent to IMF today’s evening.
