ISLAMABAD, Feb 17 (Online): FIA has freezed properties of former federal minister Chaudhry Moonis Elahi in money laundering case.
Big headway has been made in FIA money laundering case as FIA has freezed the properties of Moonis Elahi.
The case came up for hearing in special central court Lahore and the court stopped concerned authorities from transferring the properties of Moonis Elahi which have been freezed by the FIA.
Judge Tanvir Ahmad Sheikh of special central court issued written order of the previous hearing of money laundering case.
It has been said in the written order FIA presented the report in the court. As per report Moonis Elahi has been declared proclaimed offender by this court. Red notice have been issued to international police to arrest Moonis Elahi.
The court has sought progress report from police in regard to red notices of Moonis Elahi.
It has been learnt from written order that as per report 4 kanal property of Moonis Elahi in New Garden town has been freezed . ME Capital company of Moonis Elahi and Toyota Motors Gujarat have also been freezed. SECP is directed not to transfer the shares of the respective company to others.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till March 14.
Moonis Elahi son of former chief minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said he would return to Pakistan in the morning if they give guarantee I will not be made invisible. .
There is no problem of NAB, Anti Corruption, FIA or police
but I should be given guarantee to this extent that I will be kept visible. Issue is not of arrest. The case was formed when I was out of country in 2011. I presented myself in connection with my arrest on my return to country. I was acquitted by court. The problem is this people are made invisible here.
