President should not teach legislation to parliament: Sherry Rehman

ISLAMABAD, April 08 (Online): PPP leader Sherry Rehman has said President Arif Alvi should not teach legislation to the parliament.

She said this while reacting to return of Supreme Court practice and procedure bill 2023 by the president to parliament for review.

She tweeted the president proved by returning bill to parliament for review that he is not president of Pakistan but he is general secretary of PTI. President Arif Alvi has seen every decision of parliament through prism of PTI. Therefore he is following his party policy and not constitutional office of president.

She noted that president is saying this bill is beyond the powers of parliament. He ran the Aiwan-e-Sadr like ordinance factory for three and half year. How can he become acquainted with the powers of parliament?

She held president should not teach legislation to parliament. He had given his stance on the bill in interview before the bill was received by him.
