ISLAMABAD, Oct 16 (APP): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Malik Muzaffar Khan won the PP-241 Bahawalnagar by-election by obtaining 59,957 vote.
According to unofficial results announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Amanullah Sattar Bajwa could secure 48,147 votes; Ghulam Qadir of TLP secured 3,953 votes;Tahir Muhammad Yousuf of Jamat e Islami got only 356 votes and Muhammad Ashraf (Independent) secured 1,681 votes.
The turnout was 48.83 percent and 168 polling stations were set up to facilitate voters.
