ISLAMABAD, March 16 (Online): Chief Census Commissioner (CCC) Dr Naeem uz Zafar has said population census is underway and 99 percent work of first phase has been completed.
“100 percent work is being done correctly. The census is aimed at providing data to government for making policy in respect of health, education, population and other sectors, he said this while addressing press conference along with members PBS Muhammad Sarwar Gondal here Thursday.
He pointed out country was divided into 185509 blocks. Deadline of March 31 was given to the provinces. There are 800 such blocks where there is no population or some snow is in certain areas. Some difficulties have come from Karachi administration.
He held complaints can be got registered through social media.
