Polls not held despite SC clear orders

ISLAMABAD 14 May (Online): Punjab Assembly election has not been held despite clear orders of Supreme Court.

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) failed to implement the schedule of elections of Punjab assembly.

According to source ECP failed to send notice of contempt of election commission to any institution for not cooperating to hold general elections.

According to Information ECP used fund provided for the local body elections of Punjab for other side.

ECP has made water mark paper shopping already.

ECP failed to order printing press to print ballot papers. Payments of printing ballot papers were made before printing to printing corporation.

SC ordered on 4 April to hold Punjab elections on May 14.

ECP filed review petition in SC on verdict of holding elections on 14 May.
