PML-N to run ‘anti-inflation’ movement

Lahore – October 17 (Online): Largest opposition party Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to hold nationwide protests against record-high inflation, sources said Sunday.

According to details, a telephonic consultation took place between PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif and JUI-F chief Fazl-ur-Rehman on Sunday.

During the conversation, PDM leaders discussed matters related to current political scenario and ever increasing inflation.

They decided to ignite an anti-inflation movement that would consist of political rallies, sources said.

PML-N president later the same day also consulted his elder brother and PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif via telephone call, in which Nawaz authenticated Shehbaz to run ‘full-fledge’ anti-government movement.

PDM leaders on Sunday were of the view that anti-government protests were due to take masses out of economic turmoil.
