PML-N Supremo Nawaz Sharif even not happy with Miftah Ismail: Asad Umar

KARACHI, Aug 27 (Online): PTI secretary general Asad Umer hassaid PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif is not happy with Miftah Ismail and he should not shift his failure to others.

He said this while talking to media men after filing petition in Sindh High Court (SHC) against the notice issued by election commission here Saturday.

Miftah Ismail is saying that deal with IMF is not being reached due to PTi, he said adding he should feel ashamed and should not shift his failure to others. Even Nawaz Sharif is not happy over the performance of Miftah Ismail.

You pulled down the elected government through a conspiracy. We had talked to IMF in far better position. We were standing the country on its own feet.

Who had stopped government? They could sign agreement four months before, he questioned.

Asad Umar lamented that Miftah Ismail did not meet the Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa Finance Minister Taimoor Jaghra even after he offered help.

He further said that government should not blame KP for its failure. He also warned the government to not to pressurize Jhagra.

Contempt of election commission notices were issued to Imran Khan, me and Fawad Chaudhry, he indicated. It has been enshrined in clear terms in the constitution that election commission is not court. Supreme Court or high court can initiate action under article 204 of the constitution. We have filed petition against the illegal notice, he underlined.

What decisions are coming from election commission against PTI have no scope in the law, he underscored.

He indicated that Imran Khan is being asked to appeal for fundraising. Talks are underway in this regard. Soon this matter will be decided, he added.
