ISLAMABAD, Jan 18 (APP): Federal Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar on Tuesday said that Pakistan Muslim League-N, was playing politics on State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), self-governing.
Talking to a private television channel, the minister said that PML-N’s regime had created chaos on the matter of SBP’s rules and regulation.
He said as per new rules, the Center would have all assets of SBP. Commenting on increasing tariff rate in power sector and shortage of energy, he said Pakistan’s natural gas resources are depleting every year.
He, however said that there is no harm to import Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), by private sector.
About Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) imports, he said the government is making all out efforts to meet demand of consumers and for this, steps have been taken to introduce alternate energy resources to achieve the objectives.
