PM will perform ground breaking ceremony of Sialkot-Kharian Motorway

Islamabad 01 September 2021(Online): Prime Minister Imran Khan will perform ground breaking ceremony of Sialkot-Kharian Motorway today (Thursday).

The project will be completed on Public-Private Partnership basis after successful completion of Lahore-Sialkot Motorway on same basis.

The Motorway will be started from Sambrial city, an end point of Lahore-Sialkot Motorway and will end near Jund Shareef. It will cross Gujarat, Jalal Pur Jattan, Lala Musa and Dolat Nagar.

Total length of project is 69km including linked highway. The project contains five Interchanges, a service area and two toll plazas. The project of four lane motorway will be completed in 2 years time.

The Sialkot-Kharian Motorway will help speedy movement of people, it will also create job opportunities. The city of Sialkot is famous for manufacturing sports goods, the proposed motorway will ease transportation of these goods throughout Pakistan. It will improve socio-economic condition of the people of Sialkot, Kharian and adjoining areas.
