PM Sharif ‘grieved’ over UAE flood losses

ISLAMABAD – July 31 (ONLINE) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday expressed grief over the loss of precious lives, including those of the Pakistani nationals, in the damage caused by floods in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“Grieved to learn about the loss of precious lives, including those of the Pakistani nationals, in the damage caused by floods in the United Arab Emirates. My most sincere sympathies and heartfelt condolences are with the bereaved families,” Sharif wrote in his twitter statement on Sunday.

In a subsequent tweet, the Prime Minister expressed solidarity with the UAE people. “At this difficult time, Pakistan stands in solidarity with the people and government of the UAE. I have directed the Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi to extend full support to the affected families,” he wrote.

Recent floods in northern and eastern parts of the UAE have been causing massive trouble for the people. Khaleej Times reported Sunday that Five Pakistani nationals have died in the floods in these parts of country.
