PM Shahbaz face no trouble for vote-of-confidence without MQM

ISLAMABAD 15 JAN (Online): Prime Minister will face no trouble even if Mutahida Qaumi Movement(MQM) leave the federal government as PM have 181 members confidence from the house of 342 members. But MQM decide to remain with federal government.

According to Parliament sources Article-91 clause 7 is very clear regarding Prime Minister vote of confidence. Whenever president feels that Prime minister does not have the confidence of majority he will ask Prime minister to proof the confidence of majority of the house.

Prime minister right now have the support of 181 members from the house of 342 in which 85 of Pmln, 58 from PPP, and 15 from Mutahida Majlis Amal along with MQM’s 07 BAP 04 and 04 from BNP, Pml-Q 02 Jamhori Watan Party and ANP of 01 from each and 4 independent members.

On the other hand PTI have 150 member supports including their deviant members.

In number game prime minister and allies have clear majority. For vote of confidence 172 members are required. If MQM leaves the government they Prime minister still have 174 member supports.

10 seats are vacant as ECP has de-seated Imran Khan from these 10 seats and the ECP has also stopped the notification the success of Imran from other seats while one seat is vacant due to death of Jafar Khan Laghari.
