PM Shahbaz constitutes a committee to review Imran Khan, CM KP statements, evolve strategy

ISLAMABAD, May 31 (ONLINE): Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif has constituted a committee to review statements of Imran Khan and chief minister KP and evolve future strategy on this count.

The committee was set up during federal cabinet meeting held here Tuesday under PM Shahbaz Sharif.

The committee will be headed by interior minister Rana Sana Ullah and other members of committee are Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq, Qamar ul Zaman Kaira, Asad Mehmood and law minister Nazir Tarar.

Cabinet also took note of statement from KP Chief Minister (CM) and expressed grave concern. The CM KP said in his statement that “we will attack state and federal capital with full force this time.

The cabinet congratulated the people for rejecting Long March. People rejected the elements involved in fomenting chaos. The narrative of PTI was not political but it was attack on the state. The illegal acts of May 25 fall under treason. The armed bands were transported to all the buildings on May 24.

PM told the cabinet he had directed interior minister and law enforcement agencies no personal should hold arms.

The cabinet paid rich tribute to all the personnel of law enforcement agencies for discharging their duties in a befitting manner.

Interior minister Rana Sana Ullah told the meeting during the briefing no law enforcement agencies personal held arms. I assure the meeting any anti state long march will be dealt with sternly.

He told the cabinet Long march on May 25 was not any political activity by PTI but it was in clear terms a bid to attack the state.
