Islamabad February 28 (Online): A meeting was held between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Islamabad on Monday, sources said.
The duo discussed over all security situation in the country in general and Pak-Afghan border, Line of Control, Russia-Ukraine war and its implications for world peace and PM Imran recent visit to Russia in particular.
National security and peace also came under discussion during the meeting. The Army Chief took Prime Minister Imran Khan into confidence about his recent visit.
The civilian and military leadership also discussed Pakistan Army’s professional and operational capabilities. The duo agreed to continue operation against terrorists in tribal areas. Imran Khan said neither the state will allow any actor to spoil peace and stability in Pakistan nor violence.
