Islamabad – October 13 (Online): Nullifying all the speculations and estimations, Prime Minister’s office on Wednesday evening received a summary by defence ministry for appointment of new Director General of Inter Services Intelligence (DG-ISI).
According to sources, appointment would be notified right after Prime Minister Imran Khan approves the summary.
Earlier on Wednesday, Federal Minister for information and broadcasting had tweeted that consultations between Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Prime Minister Imran Khan were summed up and process of new appointment was underway.
On Tuesday, the minister in a press talk had confirmed meeting between top military and civilian leadership after speculations were circulating in power and media corridors regarding the notification of new spy chief and a reported split between the two sides over the issue.
