Islamabad – October 13 (Online): Head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam F (JUI-F) and the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Fazl-ur-Rehman on Wednesday alleged Prime Minister Imran Khan of ‘disrespecting and harming a highly disciplined institution, army’ and said that ‘not even a foe could have done this much’
Fazal was talking to media after visiting late Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan’s place on Wednesday.
JUI-F chief , while reacting to misapprehension regarding notification of newly appointed DG-ISI said that security situation was evolving every moment and termed army as ‘last hope of people to counter national security challenges’.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was getting egoistic about the issue of DG-ISI’s appointment. “Authority lies with Army Chief in this case and Prime Minister just holds symbolic power” Fazl claimed, adding that the very matter was regarding a ‘Lieutenant General’ instead of ‘ISI chief’ which should be dealt by COAS.
PDM Chief alleged that Prime Minister Imran Khan was willingly attacking a ‘well disciplined institution’ and planned to destroy it ‘just as they [government] have demolished economy’ he said.
