ISLAMABAD, May 31 (Online): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s desire to bolster ties with the UK across diverse fields especially in trade and investment.
In a telephonic conversation with British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, he said Pakistan highly values its relations with the UK, which are based on historical linkages and convergent interests on a broad range of issues.
The Prime Minister appreciated the positive role played by 1.6 million Pakistani diaspora in forging closer links and building bridges between the two countries.
Referring to the importance of Pakistan-UK Enhanced Strategic Dialogue, Prime Minister suggested developing 10-years roadmap for taking relations forward in diverse fields.
Shehbaz Sharif underscored the importance of peace and stability in Afghanistan and the need to scale up efforts to avert the humanitarian crisis.
He also highlighted the grave violations of human rights in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson conveyed his government’s deep appreciation for Pakistan’s cooperation with UK.
