LAHORE, March 06 (Online): Lahore High Court (LHC) while issuing notice to government on the petition filed against physical remand of journalist Imran Riaz in siege and arson outside Zaman Park case has sought reply. The petition filed by Imran Riaz came up for hearing before a two members bench of LHC comprising Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry and Justice Wahid Khan Wednesday.
Azhar Siddique advocate appeared on behalf of the petitioner. Justice Shehram Chaudhry remarked the five days remand has expired today.
The court inquired should the petition be referred back to trial court. The 2-member bench while issuing notice to government on the petition sought the reply. The court adjourned hearing of the case for indefinite period.
