LAHORE, Feb 13 (Online): Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed the petitioner who has filed petition against the success of PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif in NA -130 to resort to Returning Officer (RO).
Justice Ali Baqar Najafi of LHC took up for hearing petition filed by Ishtiaq Chaudhry candidate from NA-130 against success of Nawaz Sharif Tuesday.
The petitioner took the plea during the hearing of the case that Nawaz Sharif was declared successful in NA-130 through rigging allegedly. He was candidate from this constituency. 14 candidates got zero votes.
The court inquired if he filed application with Returning officer.
The petitioner requested the court to consider his petition as application. Court should issue direction so that the application is decided today.
Later the LHC directed the petitioner to resort to Returning officer in connection with his petition against the success of Nawaz Sharif.
