Peshawar High Court grants transit bail to Imran Khan till June 25

PESHAWAR, June 02 (Online): Peshawar High Court (PHC) has granted transit bail to former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan till June 25.

The court has ordered Imran Khan to submit surety of Rs 50000.

The petition came up for hearing before single bench of PHC led by Chief Justice (CJ) Qaisar Rashid Thursday.
Babar Awan advocate appeared in the court on behalf of Imran Khan. He informed the court that 14 FIRs have been registered against Imran Khan.

The CJ PHC remarked we accept bail plea for three weeks. The bail is granted till June 23.

The court directed Imran Khan he should not address people in the premises of the court.

Imran Khan assured the court he would comply with the orders. The other party leaders were also with Imran Khan on the occasion.

The security staff closed the door of the court on the arrival of Imran Khan and prevented media men from entering into the court.

Imran Khan resorted to court for his bail in connection with the cases registered against him during May 25 long marches.

14 cases were registered against him in connection with the arson and vandalism by his supporters during the recent Azadi march organised by his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.
