Meeting of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leadership will be held today to discuss strategy of long march as well as political situation of the country arising after Prime Minister Imran Khan secured vote of confidence from National Assembly.
As per details, the meeting will be chaired by PDM and JUI-F head Maulana Fazlur Rehman while former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will virtually attend the meeting. Sources said that former president Asif Ali Zardari is also expected to participate.
Sources further said that opposition alliance is likely to approve candidates for Senate Chairman and Deputy Chairman elections.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is eyeing Chairmanship for newly elected Senator Yousaf Raza Gillani; however, the party has said that final decision in this regard will be taken by leadership of alliance.
