Parvez Elahi corruption case, NAB also arrests Muhammad Khan Bhatti

LAHORE Sep 03 (Online): In the alleged corruption scandal of Chaudhry Parvaizalhi, NAB (National Accountability Bureau) has also arrested the Principal Secretary of the former Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Khan Bhatti.

According to media reports, Muhammad Khan Bhatti was arrested by NAB Lahore on the charge of corruption of 1 billion in construction contracts.
The accused is accused of being involved in illegal recruitments in Gujarat and other cities by misusing powers.

Meher Azmat Hayat along with other accused persons were recruited in the Punjab Highway Department as an agent and used them.

Accused Muhammad Khan Bhatti got 116 development schemes approved in Gujarat with the connivance of co-accused, more than 1 billion was allegedly distributed in development contracts, favored contractor Azmat Hayat was used for bribes in contracts.

The accused received commission from the full payments to the contractors even before the construction work started.

According to NAB Lahore, the alleged corruption in the contracts continued to be transferred to the personal accounts of Chaudhry Pervaizalhi, Monis Elahi and Muhammad Khan Bhatti.

NAB Lahore has obtained the custody of the accused Muhammad Khan Bhatti from Central Jail Gujranwala to further the investigation, the accused will be presented to the Accountability Court Lahore tomorrow for physical remand.
