Pakistan wants to get a new EEF (Extended Fund Facility) package from IMF:FM

ISLAMABAD, April 16 (ONLINE): Finance Minister (FM) Muhammad Aurangzeb has said Pakistan has completed IMF program successfully and there is plan for talks with IMF on Extended Fund Facility (EFF) Program
He held positive talks have taken place with IMF. We want to get the EEF (Extended Fund Facility) ‘(EFF) from IMF as quickly as possible,” Aurangzeb said. ”

Muhammad Aurangzeb is there in Washington DC US to participate in IMF and World Bank meetings . Addressing his first Atlantic Council think tank FM demanded of World Bank (WB) and IMF to help countries like Pakistan to control climate change effects and promote financial participation .He remarked Pakistan is in pursuit of large and long program with IMF because we need two to three years for structural reforms.

He underlined that at present, Pakistan does not need a lot of new policies and it needs only to implement these policies. He held positive talks have taken place with IMF. We want to get the EEF (Extended Fund Facility) ‘(EFF) from IMF as quickly as possible,” Aurangzeb added . ”
But these are only preliminary talks. Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif wants a new program from IMF, he held.
