Pakistan has reported 43 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 530,818. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 11,247 on Saturday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,927 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
Till now 239,935 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 152,925 in Punjab 64,945 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 40,629 in Islamabad, 18,715 in Balochistan, 8,770 in Azad Kashmir and 4,899 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore 4,537 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,875 in Sindh, 1,826 in KP, 463 in Islamabad, 252 in Azad Kashmir, 192 in Balochistan, and 102 in GB.
Pakistan has so far conducted 7,602,380 coronavirus tests and 40,403 in the last 24 hours. 484,508 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,283 patients are in critical condition.
