Pakistan reports 1,165 new coronavirus cases in one day

 Pakistan has reported 56 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 565,989. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 12,436 on Wednesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,165 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

Till now 254,286 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 165,200 in Punjab 70,123 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 42,921 in Islamabad, 18,954 in Balochistan, 9,562 in Azad Kashmir and 4,943 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore 5,114 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,244 in Sindh, 2,007 in KP, 486 in Islamabad, 284 in Azad Kashmir, 199 in Balochistan, and 102 in GB.

Pakistan has so far conducted 8,531,218 coronavirus tests and 33,196 in the last 24 hours. 528,545 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,662 patients are in critical condition.
