LAHORE, SEP 26 (ONLINE): Lahore High Court (LHC) has given last chance to counsel for Election Commission (EC) to give written reply on the petition filed against the politicians who have failed to show Toshakhana gifts in EC papers.

The petition filed by the citizen Tanvir Sarwar came up for hearing before single bench of LHC led by Justice Raheel Kamran Sheikh here Tuesday.

The petition was filed through advocate Nadeem Sarwar.

The petitioner has taken the plea EC demonstrated partiality. Action was taken against only one person. EC kept in view its likes and dislikes in Toshakhana case. Proceeding was initiated against Chairman PTI in Toshakhana case and he was disqualified. EC did not register complaint against any other member of assembly. Equal action should be taken against those members of assembly who have obtained gifts and they have not shown them.
