ISLAMABAD, July 01 (Online): Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad has rejected exemption from attendance plea of Chief Minister (CM) KP Ali Amin Gandapur and PTI leader Aamir Mughal besides issuing non-bailable arrest warrants of both.
The court summned written reply from superintendent Adiala jail about video link appearance of PTI founder Imran Khan.
The matter related to cases registered against PTI founder Imran Khan and others in Sangjani police station and I-9 police station came up for hearing before ATC Islamabad Monday.
Judge Tahir Abbas Sipre of ATC heard the case.
Ali Nawaz Awan, Wasiq Qayyum, Aamir Kiyani and other accused appeared in the court.
However exemption plea from CM KP Ali Amin Gandapur and Aamir Mughal was presented.
During the hearing of the case judge Tahir Abbas Sipra said no exempiton plea from any one will be accepted. This is no reason that ” I am out of city, therefore cannot appear in the court. Non completion of attendance rests with the accused or the court.
PTI lawyers said completing the attendance lies with the the accused.
The judge remarked arrest warrants of all the accused will be issued. The attenance of all the accused is must on next hearing.
Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra further said non-bailable arrest warrants of all absenting accused are being issued. One comes and two dont come. If some one does not come on July 8, no matter he is sick or is suffering from fever or any thing else, we will declare him proclaimed offender.
Hearing of the cases will take place on day to day basis after July 8. If assurnce is given about complete attenance on next hearing then we will see the matter of arrest warrants.
The defence counsels requested one chance be given. All the accused will appear on next hearing.
The judge remarked I have to take these cases to end . The accused who dont come on July 8 will be decalred proclaimed offencers. 30 days are not necessary to declare court abosonder as proclaimed offender. If there is substance in the cases then they will run .
The court adjourned the hearing of both of the cases till July 8.
