Nomination papers of Azam Swati, Khurram Zeeshan, Murad Saeed for Senate election in KP rejected

PESHAWAR, MARCH 20 (ONLINE): Nomination papers of Azam Swati, Murad Saeed and Khurram Zeeshan for Senate election have been rejected in KP. The nomination papers of Faisal Javed, Noor ul Haq Qadri and Azhar Mashwani have been accepted.
The Returning Officer (RO) issued list after scrutiny.

The list was issued following the completion of scrutiny process for Senate polls on 7 general seats, 2 women and 2 technocrats seats. As many as 25 candidates had filed nomination papers against 7 general seats and papers were accepted in respect of 16 candidates. The papers of remaining 9 candidates were rejected.

The papers have been rejected in respect of the candidates including Murad Saeed, Khurram Zeeshan and former chief minister KP Mehmood Khan.
The nomination papers of Faisal Javed, Mirza Afridi, Azhar Mashwani, Noor ul Haq Qadri, Dilawar Khan, Irfan Saleem and Fida Muhammad have been accepted on general seats. 10 candidates filed nomination papers on seats of technocrats. The nomination papers of two candidates were rejected.

Those whose papers were rejected include Azam Swati and Hammad Mehmood Cheema. The nomination papers in respect of candidates including Noor ul Haq Qadri, Irshad Hussain and Dilawar have been accepted. For two women seats, 7 candidates have filed nomination papers and nomination papers of Hamida Shah were rejected. The nomination papers of Robina Khalid, Ayesha Bano, Robina Naz, Mehvish Ali, Begum Tahira and Shazia have been accepted
