ISLAMABAD, July 18 (Online): Former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman have exchanged views on Punjab by polls, overall political situation of the country through a telephonic conversation.
The three leaders have agreed on evolving future strategy in consultation with the allied parties.
The three stalwarts of coalition government including Mian Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman have made telephonic contact with each other to review the evolving political landscape following Punjab by polls.
The three leaders reviewed the causes leading to the defeat of PML-N candidates in Punjab by polls. The future mechanism in respect of centre and Punjab was also reviewed.
The three leaders agreed on it the people have taken revenge of inflation, escalating prices of oil.
Nawaz Sharif said he was not in favor of taking the government from the very first day.
The three leaders also deliberated over different proposals of holding general elections soon and decided with consensus that the detailed strategy will be hammered out in consultation with the allied parties.
