Nawaz Sharif consultation process with party leaders for giving Punjab chief ministership to PML-Q underway

ISLAMABAD, Feb 26 (Online): Nawaz Sharif consultation process with senior leaders of PML-N on giving chief ministership of Punjab to PML-Q is underway.

Sources said Asif Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman have recommended to give chief ministership of Punjab to Pervez Elahi. On the other hand majority of PML-N is opposed to make Pervez Elahi chief minister of Punjab.

Majority of PML-N leaders is of the opinion that PML-N politics will be adversely affected in Punjab if chief ministership goes to PML-Q.

These leaders have empowered Nawaz Sharif to take final decision in connection with chief ministership for PML-N in the event of success in vote of no trust against Usman Buzdar in Punjab.
Maulana Fazl ur Rehman is in contact with Nawaz Sharif persistently. They have agreed on gearing up the process of making vote of no trust motion a success.

According to sources PPP has said it will easy to pull down government in federation if chief ministership of Punjab is given to PML-Q.
Pervez Elahi has assured support from one dozen government members of parliament in case vote of no confidence is tabled in parliament against Prime Minister Imran Khan and speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar.
