Nasla Tower Case: Chairman of iquiry committee anti corruption team suspended

Karachi – January 2 (ONLINE): Chairman of inquiry committee anti corruption team Ghulam Abbas Memon has been suspended, it emerged Sunday.
According to media reports, on the orders of Supreme Court anti corruption has made two inquiry committees and Ghulam Abbas was appointed as Chairman of one.

Ghulam Abbas was appointed to investigate corruption cases alleging on officials of Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA). He has been suspended before completing report.

Notification of new inquiry committee has nt been issued yet.
Karachi police on Monday had registered a case against the builder of Nasla Tower and officials of various civic agencies and departments in pursuance of a Supreme Court order.

The apex court on Monday had ordered police and the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) to take departmental action and separately register cases against owners of the building, officials concerned of the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), Sindhi Muslim Cooperative Housing Society and other government departments for giving approval of such a construction in violation of the law.
