NAB takes notice of illegal appointments made in NA secretariat

ISLAMABAD, April 24 (Online): NAB has taken notice of illegal appointments made in National Assembly (NA) Secretariat.
Sources said the letter written by NAB has been received in NA secretariat. Through this letter details about the appointments made from 2018 to March 2024 in NA secretariat have been sought.

Reply has been sought about the procedure under which the appointments were made.

It has been said in the letter if the approval from finance ministry was obtained in respect of these appointments or otherwise. Tests and interviews were held or not. The advertisements of the appointments were published in news papers or otherwise. Details of all procedure be provided.

Through the letter it has been directed that details of all appointed on daily wages, contract and permanent be provided separately.

On the other side Speaker office has confirmed about receipt of NAB letter saying complete data of the appointments made during the tenure of two speakers is being evolved. All the data will be sent to NAB with the approval from NA speaker Ayyaz Sadiq.
