ISLAMABAD, May 23 (Online): Supreme Court (SC) while expressing annoyance over NAB plea for freezing bank account of the accused person has disposed off the petition being withdrawn.
The NAB application came up for hearing before 2-member bench of SC presided over by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial Tuesday.
The CJP inquire during the hearing of the case how much money is there in the bank accounts of the accused which has to be freezed.
NAB prosecutor told the court freezing order of Rs 48674 bank account are required.
The CJP remarked what a joke it is. NAB is misusing powers at this time. NAB has got one power and it is using it every where. It is running after only Rs 48000.
Justice Athar Minallah remarked NAB is not working transparently. NAB should not have filed such applications.
The NAB withdrew the application after expression of resentment by court.
