ISLAMABAD, Sep 07 (Online): NAB has accepted plea of Asif Sheikh, co-accused with Ahsan Iqbal in Narowal Sports City Reference as kings evidence.
Asif Sheikh was PSDP specialist in ministry of planning. Asif Sheikh had filed application in the court for becoming approver in the case.
The court had sent Asif Sheikh application to NAB.
NAB has informed the court about approval of Asif Sheikh plea for becoming approver.
NAB will request the court formally on next hearing for removing name of Asif Sheikh from the list of accused persons.
Asif Sheikh has been made approver under section-26 of NAB ordinance.
According to NAB stance Asif Sheikh included Narowal Sports city in PSDP under the pressure from Ahsan Iqbal.
Asif Sheikh is being pardoned for recording statement as approver.
